Another one of those damn Arizona movies.  This is one of those films that sticks in the mental craw.  The ambulance flying to the moon is by far the most lasting image.  Or maybe that says more about me.  There's also a bravura Coen-esque sequence where Lili Taylor tries to hang herself.  Also, Johnny Depp and Faye Dunaway get rather hot and heavy in one scene, if I remember correctly.  (Shyeah, right.  How could one forget?  Especially Faye!)

Vincent Gallo, well, what can you say?  Vinnie does his usual thing, and he's not even directing himself here!  Or maybe he got to direct his own scenes.  In this movie, his (character's) big thing is reciting scenes from big Hollywood movies.  There's one where he does Sonny's big Alpha Male scene from Godfather 2, Sonny's last chance to surpass Michael and become the favorite son, and Vinnie sells it like his life is on the line.  When Vinnie does 'North by Northwest', however, it was funny when they tried to get him to stop, but at the same time I couldn't help but want to just re-watch North by Northwest instead.

Jerry Lewis did the talk show circuit at the time of the film's USA release.  It was this and Funny Bones.  One of my favorite scenes is when Faye Dunaway gets Jerry to leave her property with a little friendly persuasion.  Some of the young Jerry Lewis shtick there.

And yet, you'd be more likely to see Bagdad Café on cable.
